Some projects I've worked on in the past.Websites
- Felix and Allison's Wedding Website: That's me! I got to experiment with making a multi-language website. One thing my wife taught me was that styles and formats need to change too; Chinese web users have different expectations for how a website should look.
- All-Savants Transportation: Website for a friend's small business, letting customers submit ride requests. I set up automated emails, and online payments with Stripe (though it seems they didn't end up using it).
- Jellify: For the 2013 MIT Web Programming Competition, my team build a website which lets users make a map of their vacation, and upload photos to go with each location. Since our use case involved uploading and displaying hundreds of photos at a time, we actually had to deal with some performance issues: I worked on a background task queue that resized and made thumbnails for the photos and reuploaded them to Amazon S3. (Website hasn't been maintained, but the link goes to a video of the features we had.)
